Nice body. Brain...not so much.

I guess the cooler fall-ish weather is contributing to this phenomenon. In the last week I've had to dodge the health and fitness crowd like never before. Apparently, the improvement in the weather causes people to think about improving their muscle tone.

I drive to work on a beautiful, hilly, curving street. It's lovely - but somewhat challenging. The deep tire tracks in many of the lawns are an indication that quite a few other folks have been less than successful in navigating this stretch of road. Lately, this situation has been complicated by joggers and bikers.

PEOPLE!!! When you're out biking, for God's sake, keep to the right on such a road. The far right. Those of us in cars are having a hard enough time dealing with those sharp curves without your weaving into and out of the traffic lane. And when there are three or four of you...would you mind riding in single file instead of stringing out across the entire damn lane? It's impossible to pass you on that kind of road, and no matter how fast you pump them legs...it ain't fast enough! I had to ride my brakes Sunday morning to keep from coasting down the hill into one of your bony spandex-clad backsides!

And you joggers! I will never EVER understand why you choose to run on a heavily-traveled road, when there is a perfectly good, safe sidewalk just 10 feet away. Don't you know there are people in those cars whose reflexes aren't what they used to be and who can't see worth a flip?

Think about it next time.
