OK. It's official. Boredom has set in. I'm almost settled in the house. Nothing major left to do. I've applied for every damn job I can scare up. It's raining. The Kid is off with the boyfriend. Nobody's answering their phone. I'm bored.

I knew it would come to this. Just didn't know when.

I could always clean up the kitchen. I messed it up a tad this afternoon trying out new recipes. I decided I'm going to start entering cooking contests. This whim came out of the clear blue sky, as most of my whims do. I won a local contast decades ago. The first and only one I entered. I clearly have talent. So, I'm off on a new quest. Of course, this comes in the middle of a weight-loss effort. But, what the hell. It only makes things more interesting. So far, I've entered four or five contests. Maybe I'll win a gift basket or something.

I'm not going to get frustrated about the job search...yet. But, if I don't get an interview at SOME point during February, I guess I'm going to have to seek professional help. I know the deal...I'm "over-qualified." Not to mention old. SIGH.... If they would just TALK to me, I know I would charm their socks off. I really would.

In the meantime, I've ordered a copy of Access and have located some online training resources. Lack of Access experience leaves a big hole in my resume. It'll be fun to learn. Just hope it does some good.

Think I'll go check if it's still raining.
